We loved it here! We were staying at an air BnB locally and it was recommended by our hosts ... It's always a risk isn't it but we were so happy! I'm vegan and my food was exceptional. It was delicious and unlike anything I've had at a pub since being vegan. If we lived closer we said we would be regulars! The staff were so friendly and took time to talk to us and chat. Thank you!

Friendly and personable service. Engaging and helpful. Attentive without being fussy. Informed on the menu for the coeliac in the party. Lovely food, well presented. Lovely feel to the restaurant-a gentle buzz of good conversation throughout the evening. The little tumbler of the secret sauce -tomato sauce that accompanied the baked camembert and provided by special request as a take away was an unexpected treat!

Beautiful food in a lovely, welcoming environment with friendly and helpful staff, who were friendly and patient, giving us time and never hurrying us. I had the spiced aubergine, red pepper and chickpea burger which was really yummy! Sometimes vegetarian or vegan burgers can feel like a bit of an afterthought, but this was amazing! The chips were lovely too and everything was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this lovely pub with a proper country feel, looking forward to going back soon!

Superb luncheon for my wife’s birthday, excellent service and a complimentary Gin and Tonic to celebrate.

Absolutely delicious and far better than the usual Sunday lunches on offer in other places. Most of us had beef which was perfectly cooked (as was the pork) and the accompanying vegetables were excellent and imaginative. The desert selection wasn’t huge but, my goodness, they were delicious! Service was great too and it was good value for money. A memorable meal and we will definitely return for future family celebrations or for any excuse! 

 We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our two course meal. I chose the smoked Haddock which had been cooked perfectly. The fish was served on a round of delicious bubble and squeak with wilted spinach in a light creamy sauce. A perfectly poached egg on the top made the whole dish one of the best pub meals I have eaten. Our deserts were very good too, but I’ll not quickly forget that fish dish! Well done Granville team. We looked forward to returning. I strongly recommend this excellent venue.

What a magnificent find. The food was excellent and served very well. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Like many people on holiday, we did not book a table! The manager who was called Tim, went above and beyond to move tables around so that we could stay for a meal. Everything was so perfect that we went there to eat on three evenings. I would sincerely recommend this pub to anyone who was staying near Canterbury.
